		<description>Project Website

Locomobio is a student-pitched project team in ETC Osaka location. We are inspired by the mutual commonality and culture of trains and mobile phones in Japan. We want to fully explore the concept of combining both train and mobile technologies and create a virtual world that can be played by everyone, thus bringing them a new train ride experience.

In one semester we will be focusing on making a location- based smart phone game that can only be played on the train. We are creating a personalized experience that focuses heavily on the Osaka JR train system, and what happens in the game will be directly related to your location on the train line. Our end goal is to create a playable prototype that will feature simple visuals, easy- to-play mechanics and high replayability.

		<description>Porsche 911 Demo

This project was made with a talented team at Firstborn Multimedia, and was launched at September 9th. I brainstormed through interactive components and designed the interface and overall visual with senior designer Aaron Pollick. The main idea of the site is to use simple lines and typography to showcase the new Porsche 911.

<description>The installation uses ice and type to reconstruct the melting ice of North Pole and provokes the audience with questions such as “Why is the ice melting?” and “What can we do to stop it?” The main message “I Was Here” is frozen in ice and can only be clearly seen when the ice is melted.

A message made of charcoal powder stating facts about the ice caps in Greenland is placed under the ice and slowly being washed away as the ice is melting. The text frozen inside the ice is made with acetate or similar translucent material therefore the text can only be visible after the ice has melted (The text in the pictures are black for purpose of easier viewing). Each cycle of the installation is 1 full day, newi ce blocks will replace the melted ice once a day.

<description>Inspired by the electro-music itself, the design portrays the idea of “components” or “modular” in its package design. Each track of the cd has its own page of description and an unique cut-out in the middle. When all pages are stacked on top of each other, all components create a full square in the middle symbolizing completeness.

		<guid isPermaLink="false">2850336</guid>

<description>Since I find map directions generally confusing and never know which direction is North, I decided to reinvent the map. By using outlines of landmark buildings and crossroads with small captions, the map becomes a visual aid for way finding.People travel from point to point by matching the outline to the actual buildings. Layering of acetate paper creates an illusion of depth and introduced the users to the three dimensional world.
